About Us
Susquehanna Kids is an online resource for caregivers and local businesses in the Susquehanna River Valley area (i.e. Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Union and Northumberland counties). We incorporated in 2022 as Bloomsburg Kids Co. and expanded to SusquehannaKids in January 2024. Our FIND IT section has over 150 kid friendly businesses and locations to sort through, our ACTIVITIES CALANEDAR has over 200+ events each month, our weekly BLOGS bring you the information that you need to know, our GUIDES provide you time saving lists and our weekly EMAILS bring it all to YOU.

Our goal is to become the ultimate resource for local parents, using technology to streamline the process and make it easy for them to discover and engage in a variety of activities and programs for their children.

Our Why
Did you know there is a coffee shop in Milton that has a HUGE indoor playground (swoon), so you can sip on your coffee and have a delicious breakfast and read a book while your kids play?! Did you know there are so many BEAUTIFUL creek spots in our area that make you feel like you are on vacation and the kids can be entertained for hours on hot summer days?! Did you know that if you would like to get your child involved in dance, there are 11 places within 20 miles to choose from?! I didn’t know any of this, and it took a lot of networking and being Facebook friends with the right people to figure it out. I don’t want it to be that hard for you. It should be easy. We have SO many things on our plates as parents, and this part – the information, the what is going on this weekend – this part should be easy.

Colleen Bowman, Founder
Megan Smith is our Events Director, coordinating the Kids Activities Calendar and specialty calendars, creator of Canvas, and social media contributor. Originally from Berks County, she studied Biology Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After college, she taught science and special education in middle school and high school for ten years while obtaining her Masters Degree in Education at Bloomsburg University. She and her husband, John, share two wonderful sons – Henry (8) and Robert (6). In her free time, Megan enjoys cooking, traveling, camping, and exploring this great big world with her family.
Molly Werntz is our Content Director, heading up all our email blasts, blogs, guides, and other important listings we feature, as well as a social media contributor. A Philadelphia native, she studied French and Art History at Lehigh University. She later completed a graduate degree from Christie’s Education in New York City, specializing in American and European modern and contemporary art. Before joining the Susquehanna Kids team, she has worked as assistant art gallery director for Gravers Lane Gallery (Philadelphia), and fine art administrator and cataloguer at Freeman’s Auctions House (Philadelphia). She and her husband Nate are proud parents to two amazing kiddos- son Phoenix (6) and daughter Hannah (3). In her spare time enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, exercising, and traveling.
