Rohrbachs is such a fun place to take the kids!  Their calendar is full from May to December of family friendly activities.  In the summer they typically host $1 classes on Tuesdays for kids of all ages at 10am and 11am.  Some of the classes have been: seeing & learning about pigs, bubbles!, learning about the recycling process, and all about bunnies.  There is a little garden play area for the kids outside the shop, and during the Halloween season they have a huge corn pit, slides, apple sling-shots, a large corn maze and more.  Depending on their crops they host strawberry picking and peach picking.  Their store is also full of fresh fruit & veggies, a bakery, a deli and lots of Melissa and Doug products.

From their website, “The  3rd and 4th generation of Rohrbachs are operating the farm.  Our family is proud to continue serving our community with fresh farm goods, homemade treats, gourmet items, specialty gifts, and a family friendly environment.   We frequently host family-focused educational and entertaining events and festivals throughout our open season. Our calendar is full of activities as family and community is at the heart of all we do.  We believe our family, business, wonderful employees, and community are all blessings from God.  Through the seasons of life He has sustained us. The farm primarily produces apples, peaches, cherries, strawberries, field corn, soybeans and pumpkins. To encourage healthier field crops, Mark has incorporated innovative farming with Green Armor Seeds; cover crops that lead to greater soil health and more sustainable agriculture.” 

Also, Rohrbachs has made a lot of effort to ensure that people of all abilities can enjoy their farm.  Wheelchair accessible hayrides for fall events are available (advance requests are most helpful).  They typically have a Fall Special Needs and Abilities Night, which is free and exclusive for special needs and abilities families.  Special Needs and Abilities school groups are welcome for our school tours – summer and fall!  In addition, their staff is trained and equipped to welcome children and adults with special needs and abilities!  Finally, support classroom groups very welcome to come and practice social and shopping skills in their farm market (no obligation to purchase items).
